The Executive Board

“It is a privilege and a huge motivation for me to be able to continue his legacy.”

Dr. Silke Landwehrmann, Chair of the Board

Dr. Silke Landwehrmann
Dr Silke Landwehrmann was appointed to the Board of the Aumund Foundation on 1 January 2020 by Franz-Walter Aumund. Since March 2023 she has been Chair of the Board and is responsible for the foundation assets, and the accounting, controlling and HR of the Aumund Foundation.

“I already had a professional connection with our Founder, Franz-W. Aumund, before the establishment of the Aumund Foundation. I appreciated his business vision as well as his interest in people, his strong breadth of values and his philanthropic commitment. It is a privilege and a huge motivation for me to be able to continue his legacy, to manage the assets of the Foundation to the best of my ability, and to grow them for fulfilment of the objectives of the Foundation,” says Dr Silke Landwehrmann.

Katja Jüngst
Katja Jüngst has been Managing Director of the Aumund Foundation since 2019 and was appointed to the Board by the will of the Founder. As Executive Board Member she is responsible for the organisation and management of the Foundation, public relations, as well as the programming and evaluation of projects and funding partners.

“I started working with Franz-Walter Aumund in 2010, developing the social activities of the AUMUND Group, and the work of his two Foundations. Over this time I obtained a clear picture of what was important to him in project work. By being appointed to the Board in his will I am now able to carry on his life’s work in the way he would have wished. I am delighted to devote myself to this role with all the respect it deserves,” says Katja Jüngst.

“Well trained young people are the motor of society” was one of Franz-Walter Aumund’s firm beliefs, which is why funding of training and education has been one of the focal points of his philanthropic commitment from the beginning. This is underpinned in particular by the awarding of scholarships.
