Project: Prof. Heinrich Aumund scholarships for students of mechanical engineering, computer engineering and electrical engineering
In 2022, exactly 100 years after Prof. Heinrich Aumund founded the company, Prof. Rico Meier was appointed to the endowed chair of Industrial Sensor Technology and Predictive Maintenance 4.0 at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Since 2023, in a logical progression to the professorship, he has been looking after the newly launched programme of Prof. Heinrich Aumund university scholarships. Every year the Aumund Foundation awards scholarships to students who, in addition to their outstanding academic achievements, devote themselves to social issues.
At the scholarship students meeting in November 2023, which the Aumund Foundation held in the Technology Centre at AUMUND Fördertechnik, the delegation from HTW Berlin took the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the company and its products and to connect with other scholarship students.
The President of the University, Prof. Annabella Rauscher-Scheibe, also jumped at the chance to accompany the students to Rheinberg along with Prof. Rico Meier and his PhD student Christopher Bruce Konu. As a member of the selection committee it is very important to her to be involved with the development of the funded students and to keep in touch with the Aumund Foundation as sponsoring partner.
