The best edu­cational offer­ing is worth­less if chil­dren and young people are not phys­ically cap­able of par­ticip­ating in it. Based on this exper­ience the fund­ing of health pro­jects has become a new focus of Franz-Wal­ter Aumund’s phil­anthropic com­mit­ment in recent years. The Founder did not want to fund large anonym­ous pro­jects but instead change the path of young peoples’ lives in a tar­geted man­ner. He always pro­ceeded in this way in his edu­cational fund­ing. Sim­ilarly, a large pro­por­tion of the health pro­jects of the Aumund Found­ation serve to provide indi­vidu­alised aid; fund­ing of heart oper­ations, sur­gery to cor­rect ortho­paedic deform­ities, and the lengthy treat­ment of chil­dren with cleft lip and pal­ate.

In this way the suc­cess of the Found­ation’s work has been seen in many faces over recent years.
