Favela Education

The small but excellent association “Favela Education” based in Düsseldorf has for the last 30 years taken up the cause of offering children and young people from the favelas (slums) of Rio de Janeiro a humane existence and a life worth living. The approach is to support a small target group of children over their entire school education, up to vocational orientation or even business start-up. Since its establishment the active members of the association have been driven by the concept of an intact environment and the awareness that people are part of nature. So the young people learn the importance of biodiversity in their daily life through fun and creative activities as part of the wide range of educational support provided by Favela Education.

We are happy that with the support of the Aumund Foundation Gabriella and Andriel can now be accompanied on their way.
